Computer Lab Initiative
The purpose of this computer lab program is to improve the availability and quality of technology services and resources available to UAA/Anchorage students.

Currently, there are 37 supported computer labs in all colleges and schools comprising of approximately 480 computer workstations. These Supported Labs operate under the control and management of sponsoring units. A sponsoring unit is a college, school, or department that operates the facility. Management plans for each Supported Lab outlines contributions from sponsoring groups and student technology fee subsidies required to meet identified standards.

Through this initiative consistency in equipment is accomplished, a four-year replacement lifecycle is achieved, labs are connected to UAA's directory services environment, and a lab administrator's council has been created. In addition, each lab receives annual operating allocations to supplement funds that their units provide.
