Residence Hall Ethernet and LRE

All UAA Residence Halls, except MAC housing, are equipped with Ethernet data outlets that provide access to the Internet and campus network. MAC residents connect to the Internet and campus network with Long Reach Ethernet (LRE). If you reside in a MAC apartment you will have a LRE modem and instructions in your apartment.

Note: Templewood residents must have NICs (Network Interface Cards) capable of 100 Mb/s full duplex. Most NICs listed as 10/100 Mb/s work fine.

For information on setting up your computer from the Residence Halls, please see the  Knowledge Base Article on DHCP Configuration
