The following details the minimum requirements for a desktop needed to run the standard applications at UAA. (Please see Purchasing Guidelines for a recommendation for purchasing new computers.) The Desktop Team will service computers which meet these minimum requirements.
If you are a user of standard applications and your desktop does not meet the minimum requirements, it may be time for a new or upgraded desktop. Plan on upgrading your computer every three to five years to be able to run common applications effectively.
