Windows Systems

If you are considering purchasing a new Windows-based computer, IT Services recommends Dell desktop and notebook computers. UAA has entered into an agreement with Government Computer Sales (GCS) to purchase Dell workstations at a reduced cost. Access to this contract pricing is through a GCS/UAA e-commerce site available at:

The first time you enter the site you will be asked to create a new Dell Personal Profile by providing your name, email address, and a new Personal Password that is unique to you. On subsequent visits, you will log directly into your Premier Dell.com site, without having to re-enter any information.

All workstations purchased through the UAA/GCS e-commerce are configured with a three-year warranty on parts as standard. For servers, and other workstations, a three-year warranty on parts is recommended.

Macintosh Systems

If you are considering purchasing a new Macintosh-based computer, IT Services recommends purchasing through the UAA Campus Bookstore Tech Zone, or online at the UAA Bookstore Apple Online Store for Higher Education. Access to Apple's academic pricing is available at:

Apple offers a standard one-year warranty. A three-year warranty on parts is recommended, and may be purchased as an upgrade.
