Blackboard - Add/Remove course users (faculty use only)

NOTE: There is no need to request the addition or removal of students and instructors if the course exists in the registration system (Banner). All instructor and student assignment information entered into Banner is reflected in Blackboard 2-3 days later. This form is designed for courses and course user information that cannot be updated in the Banner system.

Form requirements

  • The course must already exist in Blackboard. If you have requested the creation of a course shell using the Create a Blackboard course shell form, you must have received confirmation that it has been created.
  • You must be the assigned instructor for the course.
  • If you are adding users, they must have a current UA ID. If you need to request a username complete the username request form first.

Instructor - User is able to control all aspects of the course through the Course Control Panel

Teaching Assistant - User is able to control most aspects of the course through the Course Control Panel. Teaching Assistants may not change the role of a user in the course and they may not modify the password of the instructor

Course Builder - User is able to add content to the course through the Content Areas functions and the Course Tools functions on the Course Control Panel, but does not have access to grades.

Grader - User is able to access all areas under Assessments, but cannot change course content.

Student - User is able to access all available course content and will be graded on assessments

Please enter the exact existing Course ID (example: ENGL_A111_101_Sp_2005). You can locate this in Blackboard by clicking on your Courses tab. The Course ID will be listed underneath the course title.
