Each campus has its own Elive server. You can access the servers directly in your web browser to use the public interface. If you use Elive through your Blackboard course, this is already configured for you. Network administrators can use these hostname's to configure Blackboard or other Learning Management Systems (LMS).
University of Alaska Fairbanks elive.uaf.edu
University of Alaska Southeast elive.uas.edu
University of Alaska Anchorage elive.uaa.alaska.edu
Delta Cyber School (UAF) elive-dcs.uaf.edu
I’am not able to access Elive from my work place or corporate network. What do I need to tell my network administrators to gain access to Elive?
Many corporate environments strictly regulate the use of the Internet with firewalls and proxies. UAA staff has tried to mitigate firewalls as much as possible by using common web ports instead of the default Elive ports. Tell your network administrator that you need access to the Elive server for your campus on TCP ports 80 and 443. Also tell them that port 443 is not speaking a dialect of HTTPS and that they should disable proxying of port 443 to the Elive server. Port 80 is HTTP and may be proxied. If your network administrators enable TCP 80 and 443 and do not proxy 443, then you should be able to gain access to Elive sessions from your network.
