It is very important that university information and educational materials that are delivered via the web are accessible to people with disabilities. The World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Accessibility Initiative has established guidelines to help content designers make sure information published on websites can be accessed by individuals who are using emerging or assistive technologies. Disability Support Services can offer information, training, and support for content designers who need to bring existing sites into compliance, or who are designing new sites and want to ensure accessibility from the beginning.
