What is the beeping sound when I pick-up my handset?
That is your Meridian Mail message indicator.  The voicemail system is letting you know that you have voicemail messages in your mailbox.

How come my mailbox fills up so fast?
Your storage space is probably set to the lowest setting and needs to be expanded.  In order to expand your mailbox you will need to call the IT Call Center at x64646, #4.

My voicemail light comes on and I don't have any messages, why?
Your phone number may be set as the message indication location for another mailbox.  Call the IT Call Center at x64646, #4.

I can't remember my voicemail password, what can I do?
Call the IT Call Center at x64646, #4 and the technicians will reset your password for you.

How do I get my voicemail on campus?
You would dial x61600.  The system will ask you for your mailbox number, your mailbox number is always the last 5-digits of your phone number followed by #.  then the system will ask you for your password, enter your password followed by #.  And you are in your mailbox.

How do I check my voicemail from off-campus?
You would dial 786-1600. The system will ask you for your mailbox number, your mailbox number is always the last 5-digits of your phone number followed by #.  then the system will ask you for your password, enter your password followed by #.  And you are in your mailbox.

What is my voicemail password?
For new mailboxes your password is usually the last 5-digits of your phone number.  For existing mailboxes we are unable to tell you what the current password is set for that mailbox.  All we can do is reset the password for you.

How do I forward a voicemail message to another mailbox?
After hearing the message, press 73 (to forward)
Enter the mailbox number (The extension to which you want to foward the message and then press #.
Repeat this step for any other mailbox numbers. End by pressing #
To record an introduction, press 5, wait for the tone, then speak.  End the recording by pressing #.
To send the message, press 79.

How can I leave a message in another mailbox without calling the person directly?
Dial x61500 (on-campus) or 786-1500 (off-campus)
Enter the phone number of the person for whom you are leaving a message then press #.
Wait for the tone, then record.
Hang up.
